HIV/AIDS Test Kits
20 Jul 2016

The Ministry of Health and Social Service received 10 000 Aids Test Kits valued at N$ 200 000 from Namax Pharmaceutical on 20 July 2016..

Receiving the donation, the Deputy Minister, Honourable Juliet Kavetuna said, the kits will save lives as they would ensure people get access to treatment when they are tested and are positive.  Furthermore, those that would get to know their status will put in measures not to get infected or to pass the virus to other people.

Honourable, Kavetuna called on local and international businesses to get on board and contribute towards the Namibian public health sector with similar gestures.

The donated kits were manufactured in China and are compliant to the World Health Organization standards. They will be distributed to state health facilities as the need arises.
